Blog Spam
The new version of LifeType has a very nice anti-spam system to control the flood of comment spam. I've been watching how the system labels incoming spam after the upgrade and am impressed that it has not incorrectly labeled a legit message. Sweet. Due to the huge number of spam attempts that come in every day I've configured the system to delete any comments it thinks is spam. There is no reason that any person should have to wade through 50 fake comments of junk.
Let me know if you get any reports of legit messages being labeled as Spam and deleted by the system.
Cheers!

New Index page, WLW, LifeType Summary Page, and Updates
I updated the main page on Aristotle.oneonta.edu to include more links to specific documentation and web forms for requesting accounts and spaces on Aristotle. I think it will be easier to update and deliver content that is specific for each application installed on the system. I hope it is anyway, let me know if it is not working for ya.
BTW, I'm testing out Windows Live Writer (WLW) again and am still amazed at the amount of power and simplicity built into the app. I'm also toying around with some plugins. The screen shot above was grabbed with LiveWriter OnScreen. It makes the capture of screen images pretty easy. So far I like it though I'm not sure how to add an image to an open Draft in WLW. I tried to copy and paste but WLW kept giving me errors so I ended up setting the save path in OnScreen and Inserting the image via WLW. Buggy a bit but not to bad as long as there is a workflow.
If you haven't noticed I really like WLW. Download it, configure it, and Blog on Aristotle.oneonta.edu. It's too easy.
The Summary page got a huge overhaul in the new version of LifeType. Check it out it is neato.
The Posts, Blogs, and Users. And of course there is RSS for the Blogs list and Posts list. There are now site wide categories for blogs as well with their own feeds.
Lastly I've been going through the templates and updating what I see is broken. If you notice something that just doesn't feel right it is most likely an incompatibility with an older templates. Drop me a note and I'll see what I can do.
Cheers!

LifeType Updated!
You may have noticed some changes around here lately. I have update the site to the newest version of LifeType and redone most of the templates. It has been a bumpy ride, but a good one.
I'll have more info soon.
