The Best Practices Committee is seeking proposals for sessions at the October 26, 2013 Best Practices in Teaching and Counseling Conference. The Best Practices in Teaching and Counseling Conference is an annual conference held on the SUNY Oneonta campus. The conference is organized to the SUNY College at Oneonta’s Division of Education and brings together area college faculty, k-12 teachers, and education students for a day of sessions and workshops that help develop educators’ knowledge and use of best practices.
The Best Practices Committee encourages you to submit proposals for sessions addressing any area related to best practices in teaching and counseling. Presenters are encouraged, but not required, to submit proposals for sessions that relate to this year’s conference theme: A Multifaceted Endeavor: An Exploration of Teaching and Learning in the Classroom and the Community. In this year conference, we will explore the multifaceted aspects of best teaching practices in the classroom and the research community that holds these practices together. When preparing your proposal, please keep in mind that sessions will be 50 minutes in length. Sessions geared toward practitioners, undergraduates and graduate students are welcome.
This year’s conference will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Physical Science Building and Craven Lounge (Morris Hall)
Sessions on any area of best practice for teachers or counselors are welcome. The session proposal form may be accessed from the Best Practices in Teaching and Counseling Conference website by using the following link:
