Pearls of Wisdom® is a video-based seminar featuring the life stories of women of different ages and different lifestyles. These stories explore the issues that many women today face, including organizing their finances, saving for retirement, and protecting their loved ones. Pearls of Wisdom® is delivered by MassMutual Financial Group financial professionals in a seminar setting. Women in the Oneonta area will have an opportunity to learn more about planning for their financial futures through the Pearls of Wisdom® seminar.

This will be an opportunity to meet with others in the community to discuss the issues that are important to women with a knowledgeable, experienced financial professional. In the coming months, the Pearls of Wisdom® seminar will address important topics such as:

  • investment planning
  • retirement planning
  • taking care of those you love, even when you are no longer with them
  • how to best manage through different life stages such as getting married, college planning, and caring for your parents
  • how to protect your business by reviewing topics such as succession planning and retaining key employees
  • special needs planning

The sessions will be conducted by Jeff Weinell from Sherburne, New York. Jeff is a financial services professional with MassMutual Central New York with offices in Sherburne and in Syracuse. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at SUNY College at Oneonta. On future evenings, other speakers who specialize in different areas will be called in to present for the evening. Each presentation will be approximately one hour long and will be followed by a question-and-answer period and discussion. Light refreshments will be available.

The first seminar in the series will be held on February 28, 2013 in the conference room at the Huntington Memorial Library located at 62 Chestnut Street in Oneonta. The session will run from 6:00 to 7:30 in the evening. Reservations are not required but seating is limited so please call (607) 674-6090 if you would like to attend.
