The Department of Theatre and Mask and Hammer production of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” opened Tuesday and runs through Sunday in the Hamblin Theater. Directed by Associate Professor of Theare  Andrew Kahl, performances will be at 8 p.m. today through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10.

For this production, the cast re-envisioned Shakespeare’s Forest of Arden as an 1870s American wilderness, somewhere west of the Appalachians. The performance is enriched by the use of environmental sound, provided by Assistant Professor of Music Julie Licata and three of her percussion students.

Tickets ($5 general admission) can be picked up at the Hunt College Union information desk weekdays between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. or at the Fine Arts box office an hour before curtain on performance days.
