Philip Sirianni Participates in AACSB Conference on Sustainability

Philip Sirianni (Economics, Finance, and Accounting) participated in the 2013 AACSB Sustainability Conference held from June 23-25, in Washington, D.C. The title of the conference was “Fostering the Social Impact of Business Schools,” with a main theme of how to integrate elements and initiatives of sustainability, corporate responsibility, and ethics into a business education. Topics explored by speakers and in break-out sessions included: embedding sustainability into a business curriculum; cross campus collaborations in sustainability; sustainability metrics; strategies for teaching sustainability; and the intersection between sustainability and careers in business. Participants and speakers included business leaders, business school deans, associate deans, program directors, and research and faculty leadership. The conference was chaired by Dr. Richard Lyons, Dean of the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
