Kyle MacRitchie, Meteorology Lecturer in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, presented research at the 16th Cyclone Workshop in Sainte-Adèle, Quebec, Canada. The presentation, entitled The MJO, anticyclonic wave breaking, and Northern Hemispheric predictability reported on the effect of the Madden Julian oscillation (an important tropical weather pattern) on predictability of Northern Hemispheric weather.
