Invitation to Attend Five Meetings of a New Interest Group for Online Instruction
You are invited to attend five meetings of a new interest group for online instruction on Sept 11, 24, Oct. 9, Nov 12 and Dec. 3 at 8 a.m. near Starbucks in the Hunt Student Union.
SUNY’s Chancellor Zimpher has announced SUNY’s plan to move rapidly to increase online educational opportunities throughout SUNY, New York State and in support of global education. If you’d like to know more about online instruction at SUNY Oneonta, or if you have experience with online instruction you’d like to share, please join a new group of faculty and staff that will meet five times this semester to exchange thoughts, get updates about Open SUNY and the SUNY Learning Network, and practice building online instruction modules. Brief discussions will be led by Jennifer Bueche (Human Ecology), Janet Nepkie (Music), Jim Greenberg (Teaching Learning & Technology Center) and others experienced in online instruction. Much of our meeting time will be used to allow group members to practice and to help each other with online teaching abilities. You are invited to use these five meetings to gain new understanding and skill with instruction involving technology, and to work with others on campus who have similar interests. For additional information, please contact Jennifer (Jennifer.Bueche@oneonta.edu), Janet (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jim (email@example.com).
