Deadline for SAC Applications Extended to January 31st

The application deadline for new Student Advisory Council (SAC) membership has been extended to Friday, January 31, 2014.

The Student Advisory Council (SAC) for the School of Economics & Business (SEB) Needs to Replace Its Graduating Members.

The SAC coordinates and supports the activities of students at the SEB and works with the Dean and students to open channels of communications between administrators and students. Established early school year 2013-2014, the SAC has been actively involved in promoting students’ activities and the image of SEB around the campus and in the community. Specifically, the SAC has already developed an SEB newsletter, designed and sold the SEB t-shirts, and organized some social events. Other projects are underway.

Here is your chance to contribute to these goals, to serve your school, and to develop valuable leadership experience. All applicants willing to help the SAC pursue these goals and meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

(1) Junior or Senior status

(2) A cumulative GPA greater than 3.0 and

(3) No violations of the Code of Student Conduct (see more in

a) A resume (with your cumulative GPA)

b) A letter of intent expressing your interest, your reasons for wanting to serve, and noting any previous leadership experience (high school or college)

c) One faculty recommendation letter and

d) One endorsement letter from a current SAC member (if possible)
