Join Drs. Ho Hon Leung and Matthew Hendley for overseas summer course in Hong Kong

Dr. Ho Hon Leung of the Sociology Department and Dr. Matthew Hendley (History) are taking a faculty-led overseas course to Hong Kong between May 29-June 6, 2014. The course is entitled Sociology 294: Cities and Architecture – Hong Kong. It will focus on the nature and development of cities as well as the meanings and symbolic power of architecture from a cross-disciplinary approach. It is modeled on our highly successful course Sociology 294: Cities and Architecture – Shanghai when we took 10 SUNY Oneonta students to China in summer 2012.

Estimated cost = $ 3000  +/- (includes hotel, flight and breakfasts lunch and dinners, high speed ferry to Macau, local transportation) + Tuition for course

Numbers – the more students who enroll, the lower the cost will be per student (we can get hotel discounts etc.)

Credits = 3 or 6 credits (dependent on workload in course)
