May 19, 2013 – Campus Wide Electrical Outage Planned

IT Services will be performing maintenance on a number of core services during the power outage. We will begin at 6:00AM and hope to conclude our work by 12:00 Noon.

Verizon will relocate copper connections to the campus phone switch between the hours of 8 AM and 2 PM. This will result in callers to campus receiving a message that their call cannot be completed. Outbound calls from campus will not be affected. Verizon will assure that inbound service is restored prior to 4 PM.

During this time, there will be an “Under Maintenance” page available for anyone navigating to www.oneonta.edu or my.oneonta.edu.

We are currently experiencing an issue with email services from Google. This will impact our students being able to access GMAIL from the myOneonta portal. We are working with the vendors to resolve this issue as soon as possible, and will keep you notified as more information is available.

Wednesday, March 27 – Telecommunications will perform upgrades to our phone switch beginning at 5 PM. This will result in a brief loss (less than 20 minutes) of telephone service for the entire campus

Wireless Service Interruption

Networking will patch the campus wireless network controller tomorrow, March 6 between 5 and 7 AM. Wireless networking on campus will be unavailable while the system reboots. This will also cause a disruption to the netconnections between Cooperstown Campus, the UIC and the main campus. All service will be restored by 7AM. Telephone System Maintenance Complete

Verizon completed the relocation of fiber connections to the campus phone switch on Tuesday night. Verizon will reschedule the relocation of copper connections to the campus phone switch at a later date. The upgrade to the phone switch scheduled for Thursday evening, February 21 has ben postponed. Telephone System Maintenance February 19-22, 2013

Telecommunications will be performing several maintenance tasks the week of February 18.

Tuesday February 19 and Wednesday, February 20 – Verizon will relocate copper and fiber connections to the campus phone switch between the hours of 10 PM am 7 AM. This will result in callers to campus receiving a message that their call cannot be completed. Outbound calls from campus will not be affected. Verizon will assure that inbound service is restored prior to 7 AM each day.

Thursday February 21 – Telecommunications will perform upgrades to our phone switch beginning at 5 PM. This will result in a brief loss (less than 20 minutes) of telephone service for the entire campus.
