  • Tracy Betsinger, Anthropology, co-authored a paper presented at the annual meeting of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists in March. The paper, “Apotropaics and the undead: A biogeochemical assessment of vampire burials in post-medieval Poland,” examined the results of strontium isotope analysis to determine whether deviant burials represented outsiders to the local community.

  • Dr. Charlene Christie, associate professor of Psychology, presented on “Reacting to gender stereotypes: The impact of expectations and performance on self-esteem” at the 86th annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association in Philadelphia, PA. This work is the result of research conducted with two undergraduate investigators, Carlena Reagan and Jennifer Uretsky.
