Milne Library invites the college community to join us on Feb 16th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm in the Alden Room (3rd floor, Milne Library) for a Community Conversation about Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of service. Dr. Ibram Rogers will facilitate a conversation focused around a short, shared text and a set of open-ended, thought-provoking questions. This event is free and all materials will be provided. Refreshments will be available. See flyer for more information.
Milne Library joins schools, churches, community organizations and gathering places statewide in hosting meaningful exchange about the issues and ideas that matter to us all.
Please RSVP to Pamela Flinton at pamela.flinton@oneonta.edu by Feb. 9th. While RSVP is not required, it will help us plan for refreshments. We look forward to talking with you at this important community event. The toolkit materials are provided by the New York Council for the Humanities. The attached file of “The Drum Major Instinct” will be our conversation starter. Please read and share as you like. The Drum Major Instinct excerpt
