Ithaca Writer to Give Reading, Sign Books

Eleanor Henderson

The Red Dragon Reading Series at SUNY Oneonta will continue on Wednesday, March 20, with a reading by novelist and essayist Eleanor Henderson.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Craven Lounge of the Morris Conference Center. The reading will be followed by a reception and book signing.

Henderson has published widely in the North American Review, Salon, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, among others. Her stories have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and included in The Best American Short Stories 2009. Her debut novel, “Ten Thousand Saints,” about the straight-edge punk scene in the 1980s, was named one of the top 10 novels of 2011 by The New York Times. Henderson lives in Ithaca, N.Y., where she is an assistant professor of writing at Ithaca College.
